The Crucible Notes

Act 1. In act one the girls go out into the forrest with Tituba and did a dance. Abby danced around naked and drank chicken blood. It freaked all the other girls out and especially Betty. Betty was in such 'shock' that she was sleeping/pretty much knocked out. She was not waking up and she freaked out when the lord's name was said. Finally Tituba admits and says that she only works for the lord and him only. John Proctor and Abby talk about how he used to 'love' her.
Act 2, 3, and 4. Rev Hale comes to town because he wants to see for himself just how this town of Salem is being overcome by witchcraft. Once he comes to town he sees what is going on with these girls and he believes them just like everyone else in Salem does. Betty starts shouting out names of people that are witches or are being related to witchcraft. So Rev. goes and tells these people that they have been accused and they are basically hanged. He comes to John's house to tell Elizabeth that she has been accused because of the doll in her kitchen that has a needle pinned to the stomach of it. John blamed Abigail for accusing his wife about the doll. Elizabeth didn't even know that there was a needle in the stomach of the doll; Mary was the one that gave it to her as a gift of what she had made that day. Mary said that she didn't mean any harm to Abigail, the doll, or Elizabeth. So Elizabeth was taken away. John ended up confessing to witchcraft and was hanged. He didn't want his wife to be hanged and suffer, so he admitted to acts of witchcraft and was hanged for his wife.
